Job Purpose

To assure integrity of wells during design and construction phase (from the basis of design, construction & workover to abandonment). Put Measures in place and develop relevant processes to ensure all well programs (design, construction, work over, suspension, and abandonment) are reviewed to provide a non- subjective and competent opinion on well integrity and operating policy conformance in well design and construction. Assess and approve deviation from specified well integrity standards for Design and construction phases. Participate in the review tasks to ensure adequate implementation of Well Integrity requirements in design and construction phases

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Health Safety and Environment (HSE): Fulfill Company HSE expectations and motivates the application of best industry practices towards assuring best in class HSE performance.

Provide confidence that the well is designed, drilled, completed, suspended, and abandoned in accordance with appropriate standards and practices, to reduce the potential for uncontrolled hydrocarbon releases.

Provide independent technical review and recommendations on well integrity issues during design and construction phase.

Verifying the safe and consistent application of technical standards and good engineering practice.

Knowledge of regulation, engineering standards, and industry good practices.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)

Put measures in place and develop relevant processes to ensure all well programs (design, construction, work over, intervention, and abandonment) are reviewed to provide a non- subjective and competent opinion on well integrity and operating policy conformance in all well operation.

Assess and approve deviations from planned programmers and initial designs to not compromise the well integrity requirement and objectives, such that, the well can be suspended or abandoned in a safe manner.

Review cement bond and corrosion logs and evaluate barrier envelop and production casing condition.

Evaluate the well construction integrity in all new and old wells and risk rank them for further remedial actions.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 3)

Advice and guide on the use of ADNOC Corporate Integrity Standards, COPs & practices for well design and construction phases.

Provide input to all well integrity deviation/extension requests relevant to well Design & construction.

Operate as focal contact for systematic improvement of technical practices based on deviations, industry learning, & International Standards update.

Assure the well is designed and constructed such that it can be suspended or abandoned in a safe manner; and after its suspension or abandonment there can be no unplanned escape of fluids from it or from the reservoir to which it connected.

Liaise with relevant departments and teams to support the application of well integrity expectations within assigned project scope identifying, communicating, and escalating well integrity concerns or deviations.

Provide technical verification for well handover process as they pertain to well barriers and conformance to Basis of Design objectives.

Liaises with Asset Development, Drilling engineering and Production operations in Assets to define the well operating limits and ensure all SOE required parameters are initially include in the WDP/ePrognosis.

Supervision

Plan and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives

Budgets

Provide estimations and tracking of all budget and expenditure related to well integrity costs outside of well costing already prepared by the well engineering and operations teams.

Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.

Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Generic Accountabilities (continue)

Maintain continuous and intimate familiarization with all relevant Company and international documents relevant to Well integrity.

Develop, implement review, and improve, all relevant policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section\'s / Department work programs in line with Company and International Standards.

Performance Management

Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Design and implement new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of well integrity performance.

Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with relevant industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor\'s Degree in petroleum engineering or Equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge:

Knowledge of International and Company well life cycle standards and practices for: well engineering, well operations and well integrity. (Including but not limited to NORSOK D10, Oil and Gas UK Well Integrity Guidelines).

Knowledge of well design, well construction operations and production operations.

Skills:

At least 8 years of proven performance in an engineering and operations role related to well design, well construction, intervention and /or wells production.

Preferred to have at least 3 years experience in well integrity verification.
