Specialist Systems Administrator
Location: Abudhabi
Duration: Permanent
Job Purpose:
Manage the administration of IT systems and ensure smooth functioning of IT operations. Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers, install hardware and software, and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of organization. Actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementation of IT Applications and Systems department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
- Assist in Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure that all reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Requirements:
-
- Minimum 7-8 years of system administration, database administration, hardware & Software administration
- Minimum 7 years in Exchange Trading systems administration including FIX 5.x and API interfaces
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
- Good knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with shell and bash scripting and automation tools
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
- Strong knowledge of implementing IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Business Information Systems, Information Security, or any related field.
- Experience in Cloud based applications and cloud platforms.
