About The Role

As a Specialist, Sourcing in Food & Beverage categories, you will assist the Manager, Sourcing in planning, organizing and managing the company's business goals and objectives in order to deliver efficient, professional service to all stakeholders. To do this will require innovation, a complete understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), process driven with a good financial and logical approach to the procurement function. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, focused on food and beverage, packaging and service following policies & procedures and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Duties include planning, scheduling, initiating, monitoring and quality assurance of all procurement and contract activities. Work requires independent and professional judgment. You will be required to provide cost saving and purchasing initiatives, over a wide spectrum of dining units. This person will be working on value creation opportunities with analytical and business-driving mindset, and positive influencing skills to communicate data-driven insights and actionable items. The role is expected to interact with all levels of the organization in the company. Manage global strategic sourcing and obtain the best option for the company to support the centralized food and beverages procurement operation. Assist on sourcing strategies covering a broad spectrum of categories - Ingredients/ Raw Materials, Packaging, and Indirect. Develop risk mitigation strategy through close monitoring of market environment to minimize price risk/capture opportunity. Be responsible for demand planning of food and nonfood related subcategories across the entire business and ensure Procurement's early involvement. Responsible for tender process, assist in contract management and negotiations, project management. The primary goal is to focus on using best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity. This role has supervisory & budgetary responsibility.

About You
Ideally, we'd like you to have a relevant bachelor's degree in n Business, Economics, or Supply Chain, International Business or Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 4+ years' prior experience in successfully managing F&B sourcing and capable of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Experience in FMCG and/or F&B is a mandate. You will have to demonstrate multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. In addition to this, you will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to interface effectively with all levels of management. In this role, you will have the natural ability to effectively influence through knowledge, relationship management, and trust. Having the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against a business strategy. Exceptional creative and analytical problem-solving skill set with a strong desire to constantly grow and evolve. Experience of working within a large-scale hotel or resort would be preferred.
Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge is required. You will have experience with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, contract software, ERP, and e-Sourcing. Have prior experience working with suppliers and resources within the UAE market preferred. Besides, you will have experience in negotiation, analysis, a good understanding of terms and conditions, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
