. Below are more details about the role. RESPONSIBILITIES To prepare and / review major equipment enquiry specifications, reviewing and analyzing vendor bids, preparation of technical bid evaluation, Reviewing of Vendor documents and co - ordination with various other disciplines for data inputs
To provide technical assistance, coordination, and liaison with other discipline engineers on all aspects of Engineering / technical matters and audits
To participate in all Design reviews, HSE workshops and Constructability reviews, as necessary
Active participation in Bid clarification and Vendor kick - off meetings, through the course of the projects
To review and approve sub - contractor\xe2\x80\x99s work and ensure compliance with the contract, project specification, relevant codes and standards and best practices
To ensure that all work is completed with quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
To co - ordinate with equipment vendors, to trouble shoots the issues related to design, manufacturing, maintenance, installation
To liaise with the client\xe2\x80\x99s engineering team as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
To prepare Engineering Reports on project activities / methods
To ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the client needs
To provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to equipment engineering
To provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline
To assist in the coordination of all activities related to major mechanical equipment
To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required
Supervision of Graduate Engineers and provide input to the performance management of direct reports
Develops, review, and approve project and proposal estimates and schedules by referencing the project scope of work and discussing the estimates and schedules within the team and those of other disciplines QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired.
Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
