Scope of Practice:

The Plastic Surgeon attends to patients across all age groups, managing cases within their approved clinical privileges. Services include reconstructive, cosmetic, and corrective procedures, performed in accordance with DHA/DOH guidelines and institutional protocols. The role integrates curative and preventive care within a multidisciplinary aesthetic environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed patient consultations and assessments for aesthetic and reconstructive needs. Perform surgical procedures such as facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, liposuction, abdominoplasty, and other body contouring surgeries. Administer non-surgical treatments including Botox, dermal fillers, threads, PRP, and skin rejuvenation therapies. Ensure all surgical instruments and treatment areas meet sterilization and infection control standards. Provide pre-operative education and post-operative follow-up to ensure optimal recovery and patient satisfaction. Clearly communicate risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of procedures to patients, ensuring informed consent. Evaluate psychological readiness and suitability for elective aesthetic procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with UAE data protection and medical ethics regulations. Collaborate with dermatologists, technicians, and management to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery. Participate in clinical audits, quality assurance programs, and continuous professional development. Align treatment offerings with current market trends and patient demand through regular service reviews. Analyse patient feedback and treatment outcomes to refine protocols and enhance service quality.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent)

Specialist training in Plastic Surgery

5-10 years experience

Board certification

from an approved country (e.g., US, UK, Canada, Europe)

License

from DHA, DOH, or MOHAP

Good standing certificate

from previous authority

Must work within the

approved scope of practice

Must have patient data base
