ABOUT THE JOB:
Acts as an Oil & Hazardous and Noxious Substances (HNS) Spill Response subject matter expert and provides specialized technical expertise across the entire value chain of the Oil Spill & HNS Response Department, in order to promote continual improvement and excellence in Oil & HNS Spill preparedness and response within ADNOC L&S Oil Spill & HNS Response Department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Leads the research, collation and benchmarking of international OS & HNS Response regulations, quality standards and best practice in order to establish a comprehensive knowledge repository.
  • Advises on the implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the OS & HNS Response functions.
  • Supports the planning and execution of external OS & HNS Response Exercises.
  • Provides expertise on numerous OS & HNS Response technical aspects such as the choice of equipment, materials, and sub-contractors.
  • Reviews the Clients Assets\' Tiered Oil Spill & HNS Response Plans and highlights any potential improvement areas.
  • Supports and counsels the on-site OS & HNS teams, upon notification of an emergency, to ensure efficient and accurate risk assessment as well as appropriate response to all incidents.
  • Designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of OS & HNS operational processes.
  • Advises on the distribution of OS & HNS resources across the Department Assets in order to manage cost effectively and ensures that informed and well- planned purchasing and utilization decisions are made.
  • Identifies OS & HNS Response improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with standards.
  • Participates in internal Audits within the department if requested.Represents the department with various national forums, committees, and Governmental Entities for Emergency Response matters to ensure seamless coordination and capitalisation of efforts.
  • Leads the Capex & Opex of various equipment (equipment, including services) for the Department to make sure that all operational requirements are properly assessed and sourced in a cost-effective way.
  • Participates in Delivery of Oil Spill & HNS Response related training courses if requested.
  • Remains on-call as per the duty roster in order to respond in a timely manner to Oil Spill Response Emergencies.
MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Oil Spill & HNS Response field.
