Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise on materials selection for pipelines, pressure vessels, structures, and offshore equipment. Develop and implement corrosion control strategies, including cathodic protection, coatings, and chemical treatments. Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions. Support integrity management programs, inspection planning, and risk-based assessments. Review and approve materials and corrosion-related specifications, procedures, and designs. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and inspection teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry developments in corrosion and materials engineering. Requirements
Bachelor's in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering in the oil and gas sector, including offshore operations. In-depth knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, materials behaviour, and mitigation techniques. Familiar with international codes and standards (e.g., NACE, API, ASME, ISO). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with asset integrity management and corrosion monitoring systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
