Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients for gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disease, and colorectal conditions



Utilize patient medical history and diagnostic tests to assess digestive system health



Prescribe and manage medications and therapeutic interventions for GI conditions



Perform non-invasive procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy



Discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on medications, lifestyle, dietary changes, and preventative measures



Conduct follow-up appointments, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, and update patient records



Support patients with serious or complex GI conditions and their families



Conduct research and studies on gastroenterology-related diseases and treatment innovations



Implement and evaluate individual chronic disease care plans, especially for conditions involving the digestive system, liver, and metabolic disorders

Ideal Candidate Profile

DHA-licensed or DHA-eligible Specialist Gastroenterologist



Fluent in Arabic (preferred)



Proven ability to manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions



Holds an established patient following or is confident in building one



Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care



Team-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced clinic setting

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

MBBS or MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution



Completion of specialty qualification recognized by DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE



Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support



Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage



Minimum 5+ years of specialist-level experience



Publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly regarde
