Job Title: Specialist Environment Policy and Regulations
Job Location: Abu Dhabi
Develop environment-wide whole-of-government policies and regulations utilizing effective engagement with companys sectors / divisions and external stakeholders. Review relevant government policies, strategies, plans, regulations and initiatives in order to embed environmental policy and regulations considerations as needed. Support integrating outputs of multi-criteria analysis of environment policy and regulations, in collaboration with the Environmental Analysis and Economics Division, in the development of appropriate integrated environment wide whole-of-government policy solutions.
Organize environment policy and regulation development related stakeholder engagement internally and externally to ensure alignment and integration.
Conduct of facilitation sessions and meetings with decision-makers and stakeholders in order to respond to interests and concerns, mobilise support, buy in as well as embed generated knowledge the development of environment-wide policies and regulations.
Develop papers in order to ensure comprehensive and adequate representation of companys position on environmental issues, and support in recommending.
Provide input on the Division advice to companys Leadership on environment-wide policies, and analysis relating to government policies and plans to provide appropriate recommendations and inform decision-making.
Develop technical reports and presentations, as guided by the Section Manager - Environment Policy & Regulations in order to document policy and regulations development activities, recommendations, issues, etc
Coordinate with the Environment Quality Sector and Terrestrial & Marine Biodiversity Sector as required to guide the development of relevant policies and regulations. Perform any other duties as requested by the reporting manager.
Comply with all relevant OHS guidelines, policies and procedures, implement integral elements of the OHS management system as applicable to the job and ensure incidents and hazards are reported in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Qualifications: xe2x96xaa Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science or any related specialisation.
Experience Required: xe2x96xaa Minimum of 8 years of experience in the relevant field; 4 years of which in a managerial position.
