Job Description

We are seeking a Specialist Engineer- PSM/MI to perform Process Safety monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant. Facilitate development and review of area safety procedures and practices and ensures alignment with Site & Corporate policies and standards. As required, lead / participate in PSM related reviews, teams and improvement projects; with more than 15 years technical experience in engineering field in refinery or petrochemical, preferably with at least 4 years in technical supervisory position.   • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical/Process or Chemical Engineering or equivalent from reputable universities.
  • More than 15 years technical experience in engineering field in refinery or petrochemical, preferably with at least 4 years in technical supervisory position.
  • Demonstrated specialty and expertise and records on related field of work.
  • Subject matter expert on Mechanical Integrity (MI) management/plant trouble shooting as well as layer of protection analysis and process safety management including PSM KPIs management.
  • Excellent knowledge of Process engineering practices, design detail and calculation method, especially in layer of protection analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of PSM /MI management practices, especially proper KPIs analysis and management.
  • Thorough knowledge of international codes / standard related to Safety Instrumented functions analysis and calculations and management.
  • Thorough knowledge of process, operations, maintenance and engineering practices in refinery or petrochemical plants.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills of trouble shooting and facility investigation/ recommendation generation & long term strategic planning capability on the concerned field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
  • Lead or provide technical resolutions / recommendations to the plant issues in the area(s) of specialty or in an assigned field to ensure reliable and safe plants operations.
  • Lead or participate in multi-disciplinary teams to address or investigate major concerns / disruptions and/or improvement opportunities in the areas of specialty or assignment.
  • Develop or review technical deliverables to ensure solutions to plant issues is in compliance with Engineering standards, reliability/integrity and safety requirements.
  • Execute departmental initiatives and strategies in order to meet long term company goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews of subordinates and execute staff development program on the concerned area(s).
  • Attending OME or Other communication meetings.
  • Response to query or assignments not falling down on Main key accountability.

  • 2. Interviews stage
2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation. If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client. If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you. 2.2 Client phone/video interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week. If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team from our client will schedule a call with you to evaluate your qualifications. The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions. If your phone interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, and they will invite you to a video interview when hiring managers are available. If your resume is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you. 2.3 Video interviews with hiring managers: which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field. 3. Conditional Offer A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment. Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
