To ensure the optimal medium to long term planning and implementation of the Airport team\xe2\x80\x99s staff roster maximizing coverage during peak times in the most cost-effective manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Pre-plans rosters taking into consideration scheduled aircraft arrivals and departures and ensuring there is sufficient coverage for unscheduled or delayed operations.
2. Conducts daily / regular shift rosters taking into account availability of resources (manpower, equipment and facilities) ensuring optimal coverage of the day ahead as well as being proactive for any sudden requirements for resource allocations.
3. Provides an independent view and recommendations to Management regarding the most effective utilization of all resources thus supporting a long-term planning approach using scenario analysis as well as the latest industry practices and technologies.
4. Directs and supports shift supervisors to effectively resource shifts on 24/7 basis through distinct phases of shift-planning and real-time allocations.
5. Improves operational efficiency and productivity using flydubai\xe2\x80\x99s resource management system (RMS), real-time control (RTC), check-in system (DCS), or third-party management systems.
6. Collaborates with the duty managers and resource allocators by providing expert advice, input, and direction to respond to dynamic changes during rostering including but not limited to annual leave planning, long terms workplace injuries or sickness.
7. Communicates the rostering plan to concerned staff, seeking input and review to ensure that front-line staff inputs are reviewed and accounted for the continuous improvement of rostering coverage.
8. Evaluates resource requirements and business cases for additional, replacement resources keeping in view the yearly budget plan, KPIs and other parameters.
9. Monitors the effectiveness of the rosters and compile automated or manual reports that demonstrate over-coverage or under-coverage on weekly/monthly basis.
10. Works with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, etc.) to ensure staff and their related costs are within budget levels and report on & identify reasons for crossing budget levels.
Systems, Licensing, Language or Certification Requirements
Experience in airport operations (preferably in fields related to resource management and scheduling)
Minimum of 4 years using RMS (preferably INFORM RMS)
