Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The roles and responsibilities are broken down into key performance indicator (KPI) categories listed below as well as the tasks associated to each of those categories:

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
  • Drive \xe2\x80\x9cPerfect HSE Day\xe2\x80\x9d campaign throughout the organization
  • Drives leadership engagements across the organization (Five Fundamentals of a Perfect HSE Day) \xe2\x80\x93 ensures integrity and thorough understanding of the Perfect HSE Day campaign
  • Ensure safe operating environment for all employees. Identification and control of risks in the work areas / identify specific training to prepare employees before undertaking their tasks
  • Ensure reporting and transparency of all HSE incidents
  • Ensure, Develop and Implement an HSE Ideas Platform
Delivery/Production
  • Impact is primarily on a large portion of the Supply Chain Organization and Business Performance. "Large portion"" is defined as having the magnitude to impact the strategy, financial results, operating performance and sustained competitive advantage of the entire Product Line
  • Leads a large share of one or more operational function(s) activities within a Product Line including;
  • Leads key operational function processes and technology, provides authoritative advice for technical disciplines managed
  • Leads the highest levels of thought leadership and solutions within subject matter areas
  • Establishes wide-scale operating strategies and mobilizes their delivery; roles are specifically required to:
  • Build capabilities across the Product Line\xe2\x80\x99s supply chain functions to deliver on multi-faceted operating plans
  • Drive innovation and set priorities that cannot be readily adapted from others and
  • Mobilize a focus on meeting unknown needs and creating a culture of simplicity where solutions are complex.
  • Leads, influences and coordinates across the full matrix to establish how disciplines, businesses and geographies will operate, integrate, set targets, coordinate their efforts and differentiate the supply chain from the competition.
  • Independently leads major initiatives to operationalize significant processes
  • Work is guided by the long-term Product Line strategy and/or key functional objectives.
  • Leverages a "total Product Line and Supply Chain business understanding"" with comprehensive industry knowledge to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
  • Integrates a detailed understanding of how the Product Lines and Functions differentiate themselves from the competition as well as the economic, commercial and political issues affecting the business supported.
  • Drives business growth and implementation strategy by evaluating key business and organizational challenges.
  • Influences a wide range of audiences and negotiates with great latitude on outcomes; presents and defends complicated or delicate issues that have an important impact on the Product Line Supply Chain and Business
  • Engages in negotiations and communications which influence the image of the company within the context of the areas managed or represented (internally or externally).
  • Leads ALL PL Supply Chain functions on a Product Line-wide basis (Manufacturing Operations, Sourcing, Procurement, Materials, MFG Engineering, WH&Y, Quality, HS, Repairs, etc.)
  • Operates with a high level of autonomy in setting PL Supply Chain priorities; plays a significant role in contributing to both supply chain strategy and overall business financial performance.
  • Holds ultimate accountability for ensuring streamlined operations, continuous improvement, supplier or manufacturing quality for the entire Product Line Supply Chain.
  • Provides strategic input to budget and controls resources or has significant influence over these elements. May own smaller budget for assigned functional areas or smaller operating units
  • Problem solving / decision making on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing unit.
  • Participates in development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people.
  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet business requirements
  • Develops local policies, process & guidelines to assigned functional areas.
Quality
  • Drives the Quality Strategy for the Product Line through the Supply Chain Organization
  • Drive \xe2\x80\x9cPerfect Quality Day\xe2\x80\x9d for the Product Line
  • Hold organization accountable to ensure supply chain policies, processes, procedures, workflows, plant equipment, signage, personnel, etc. adhere only to the approved global standards
People/Employees
  • Managers of people from multiple families within the function. This family does not include plant management
  • Owns the Employee and Talent Strategy for the PL Supply Chain Organization
  • Foster a positive, respectful and inclusive work environment across the Supply Chain Organization; instilling our Company Values throughout all our day-to-day activities and communications
  • Meet frequently with the various Key Stakeholders and Business Leaders to identify needs and address gaps
  • Coach and Mentor employees on career progression
Required Qualifications
  • This role requires experience in and/or outside the organization with typically 10+ years relevant business experience.
  • Experience in managing others for at least 2 years.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Master level degree.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in case of a managerial role, to have experience of at least 5+ years managing teams
