The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman's growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East. About the role An exciting role has arisen for hard working Spa Manager to join the pre-opening and Spa and Wellness department at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to oversee Spa operations and team performance in delivering excellent and professional services to guests and members while manage the customer relationships and feedback, in order to maintain and deliver high-end services that mirror Group standards, reflect its image of luxury and support the achievement of Spa's performance goals and targets. Your key responsibilities will include: Plan, organize and manage the operation and administration of the Spa so that guests are treated according to the processes procedures and high quality standards of the Spa. Motivate and train all Spa associates for the provision of excellent therapy services to guests and maximize of their Spa experience, by advising correct treatments and offering full product knowledge, in accordance with Spa protocol and accepted certification practices. Manage the daily operation of the Spa, reviewing and ensuring that all facilities operate according to standards, the employment shifts are arranged according to the operations needs and workload of the Hotel, administration of guests (e.g. bookings, payments, data base update) is performed accurately and that the inventory of the required supplies/material is always at the necessary level to enable the effective operation of the Spa. Review that all Spa facilities, personnel and services are in compliance with the processes and procedures of the Group, the regulations set by the local legislation and are equipped with the necessary supporting documents and license, in order to enable the safe, legal and uninterrupted provision of services. Contribute to the preparation of the Spa budget and monitor the financial performance versus the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests. Recommend some improvements to departmental policy, implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence. About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in 5-star Spa environment in a management position in the Middle East. You should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Physics or relevant field from an accredited and renowned University, as well as a Professional health therapy qualification (CIDESCO, ITEC, CIBTAQ, etc.). It is essential that you have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
