About the Role

Assist de Chef de Cuisine/Executive Sous Chef to lead the Kitchen Operations including but not limited to menu planning and costing, organizing special events, developing new dishes, maintaining food quality standards and comprehensive product knowledge. Responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with the company\'s strategy and brand standards, whilst meeting colleague and guest expectations. Together with the Chef de cuisine manage the kitchen as an independent profit center, in line with the outlet\'s operating concept, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet.

About You

The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef role at our renowned Japanese restaurant should have a minimum of 5 years\' experience, either as a Jr Sous Chef/Chef de Partie or currently holding the position of Sous Chef in a distinguished Japanese establishment. Proven success in Michelin-rated restaurants, with a focus on Japanese, Pan-Pacific, and European cuisines, is preferred. The candidate must excel in managing a busy kitchen, demonstrating strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Leadership skills, international culinary experience, and a culinary certificate or equivalent 10 years of experience are essential. Excellent communication, multicultural adaptability, and proficiency in HACCP, health & safety practices, as well as computer applications, are key attributes we seek in the ideal candidate.
