Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate
Sous Chef
to support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations for our
casual dining concept
. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in
both hot and cold kitchen
, with exposure to
multiple cuisines
, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all sections.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing
daily kitchen operations
across hot and cold sections
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to
brand standards and recipes
Manage mise-en-place, portion control, and food presentation for consistent quality
Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring smooth coordination between sections
Ensure compliance with
food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
at all times
Monitor food quality, taste, and plating before service
Assist in
menu execution, new dish trials, and recipe standardization
Control food costs, minimize wastage, and manage stock levels effectively
Coordinate with service team to ensure timely order flow during peak hours
Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
Requirements
Proven experience as a
Sous Chef or Senior CDP
in a
casual dining restaurant
Strong working knowledge of
hot & cold kitchen operations
Multi-cuisine experience is mandatory
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and wastage management
Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience preferred
