Role Overview / Summary:

This position is for an experienced sales engineering professional, overseeing the compilation of customer information and the guidance of sales professional/s in developing and formulating sales plans for customers. Responsible for the most up to date knowledge on the most recent Collins product/s, service/s or solution/s lines to enhance the performance of the CAS Airport Business Development team across the Middle East & Africa region.

This role will be located with our Collins team in Dubai, UAE.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Attends and presents at national/country trade shows to be able to provide technical advice to customers.
  • Engages with national customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements to understand customer needs.
  • Leads as a specialist and stays informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments to guide the team and provide technical advice to the customers.
  • Guides new sales representatives as needed and ensures that they understand the policies and procedures and the product details.
  • Leads/supports the proposal process as needed to drive the pre-sale activities of the team.
  • Conducts pre-sale and post-sale support activities (without quotas) that involves identification of customer product needs.
  • Conducts feasibility and performance studies and analyses.
  • Provides support for activities related to sales engineering and sales applications.
  • Provides technical advice regarding products to customers.
  • Conducts sales contract administration.
Min Qualifications & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an appropriate discipline with at least 5 -7 years of working experience in a customer account management role OR technical solutions consultancy role, preferably in Special Airports Systems, for a medium to large aviation IT provider in the Middle East and Africa region
  • Possesses a detailed working knowledge of systems such as CUPPS, CUSS, Self-Bag Drop, AODB, RMS, ACDM, Biometric for Airports, System Integration, etc.
  • Past work experience to include a proven track record of solutions consultancy in Special Airport Systems.
  • Familiarity and experience in dealing with and maneuvering in the Africa and Middle East customer base and networks in the aviation sector.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite tools such as Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel
  • Excellent Communication (written & verbal) & presentation ability in English Language and in addition, excellent communication in the Arabic language would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to source solutions to customer requirements or issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment, locally and globally, to accommodate differing time zones
  • Ability to travel frequently (50 to 70%) across the MEA region and occasionally internationally as maybe required.
