Job Description

We are looking for a Solar Design Engineer who will be responsible for the end-to-end technical design, engineering calculations, and design verification of solar PV systems. This role plays a critical part in building the company's solar engineering capability from the ground up, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability as the team and project portfolio expand.

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design and engineering of solar PV systems, including layouts, sizing, simulations, and technical documentation. Prepare and review SLDs, drawings, BOQs, and technical submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct technical reviews and compliance checks, ensuring alignment with KSA regulations, SEC requirements, and international standards (IEC/IEEE). Support grid connection coordination and provide technical input where required. Collaborate with project, procurement, and site teams to ensure designs are practical and constructible. Provide technical support during execution, commissioning, and handover stages. Contribute to building and improving engineering standards, templates, and best practices as part of developing the solar engineering function.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in solar PV system design (rooftop, C&I, or utility-scale).

Candidates should be currently residing in KSA preferably in Riyadh.

Arabic speaking candidates are preferred. Proven experience using PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD. Experience with solar projects in KSA or GCC is an advantage. Strong technical and analytical skills. High attention to detail and design accuracy. Ability to work independently and take ownership. Comfortable working in a build-from-scratch / growing team environment. Strong documentation and coordination skills.
