Job Description
The Software Engineering Manager plays a significant role in the solution definition, implementation, and governance of the overall solution implementation as per the best practices, architecture standard guidelines, and reference architecture. The Lead technical architect will guide the team to facilitate and govern the solution delivery. We are currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager for an established e-commerce service provider. The candidate must possess at least 6 years of experience in coordinating teams and software development of high-performance enterprise applications using Java and Microservices-related technologies, preferred in the e-commerce sector. The candidate must have a deep understanding of the programming patterns and methodologies, He/She will be driving the technical direction of the team by leading the architectural design of the platform, He/She must have direct experience in managing teams, as he/she will be responsible of the team execution, the quality, and the speed of the produce, with particular attention to lead and encourage the engineering team to deliver in time products. Requirements :
- 6+ years in Software development and engineering.
- Experience as Software Engineering Manager or similar position.
- Experience as a team lead or similar.
- Experience working with cloud & DevOps technologies / Cloud Certification is a plus.
- Degree in Engineering/Computer Science.
- Strong understanding of distributed system design.
- In-depth knowledge of microservices design patterns and transaction handling through synchronous and asynchronous communication.
- Well-versed with API Gateways, Kafka to deliver microservices-driven architecture.
- Experience in software engineering and design architecture.
- Provides architectural expertise, direction, and assistance for the development, design, and systems integration across projects.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives, and utilizes new technologies and methodologies to seek improvement on existing systems.
- Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud virtualization technologies(AWS).
