This role lies with the terminals division of Maersk, known commercially as APM Terminals. Terminals is one of the most comprehensive marine container terminals networks in the world with over 20,000 employees operating 76 terminals in 36 countries. You will be at the centre of a global project team developing our applications for management of innovative depot logistics enterprises. It is a central part of our global project to create a single integrated user interface for digital management of all aspects of this system.

Role Overview

We are looking for a best-in-class application integration engineer who can help deliver true value to our terminal operations. A willingness to pick up a piece of software and overcome the complexities of integrating it will only be the start. As your expertise develops, so do the opportunities to function as a subject-matter-expert - opportunities to improve and evolve the product. You will collaborate with our teams in South America, India, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

Embark on a journey of learning and discovery to understand the design of the existing application and the complexities in integrating it with source systems. This will include opportunities to travel and learn of other experts in the field. Create and 'version control' workflows. Configuring system parameters to evaluate and understand how changes can impact the performance of said system. Create application test scenarios. Create and maintain standard test protocols (SOP) to verify workflows and configuration data. Run tests in UAT and PRD to verify workflows and configuration settings. Propose and implement improvements on the workflows and processes. Configure parameters. This requires also understanding of the operation and how changes can impact the performance. The configuration will be via a UI, initially might be JSON, but that's part of the specific development for APMT, to create a proper config way of working. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions. Participating in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contributing to architectural discussions, system design, and implementing new features and enhancements.

Must have Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

A commercial level fluency in English, both written and spoken. (C1, C2). A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science/ software Engineering, or a very closely related field from a leading third level institution. A considerable track record of achievement algorithmic programming - maybe in the programming machines, robotics, or equipment. In-depth knowledge of microservice architecture concepts and experience in designing and developing microservices. A considerable level of displayed proficiency in agile/scrum development methodologies, including experience with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews. The ability and desire to work individually and collaboratively.

Highly Desirable: Working knowledge of developing in C#. Working knowledge of developing in Angular.
