We are seeking a creative and data-driven Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about all things social media and have a proven track record of growing online communities, creating engaging content, and executing successful social media campaigns.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track metrics to measure the success of social media campaigns.
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies.
Content Creation & Management:
Create, curate, and manage all published content (flyers, images, video, written, and audio/podcasts).
Develop a content calendar and schedule posts to ensure a consistent and timely content flow.
Write compelling and engaging copy tailored to each platform's audience and format.
Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create visually appealing and on-brand graphics and videos.
Community Engagement & Growth:
Monitor and engage with our social media community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
Identify and engage with influencers, brand advocates, and industry professionals.
Run social media contests and promotions to grow our audience and generate user engagement.
Analytics & Reporting:
Use social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, native platform analytics) to track performance.
Prepare and present regular reports on social media performance, including insights and recommendations for improvement.
Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our performance against industry peers.
Advertising & Campaigns:
Assist in the creation and management of paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting.
Monitor ad performance and optimize campaigns to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
Excellent knowledge of various social media platforms, including their algorithms, analytics tools, and best practices.
Strong understanding of social media marketing and a passion for creating engaging content.
Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is often preferred but not mandatory.
