We're looking for a mission-aligned Social Media Specialist to lead the voice and visual presence of Nuema across platforms. The ideal candidate is a sophisticated strategist and storyteller who understands how to build authentic community presence for premium brands--creating cohesive experiences across both digital and in-person touchpoints. Experience with international audiences or global wellness brands is a plus, bringing valuable perspective to our NYC-centered community. What You'll Do
You'll own and execute Nuema's social media strategy--balancing aesthetics, authenticity, and purpose across platforms. Your work will span content creation, community engagement, and digital storytelling that supports our sacred community ethos and real-world gatherings.
Your Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
Develop and execute NUEMA's social media strategy aligned with our sacred
community ethos
Create content that captures authentic moments of modern parenthood in NYC
Manage all social platforms with a cohesive visual and messaging approach
Implement thoughtful community engagement that reflects our values
Collaborate with design team to maintain consistent brand identity across channels
Develop content calendars that honor seasonal rhythms and community milestones
Capture and share stories from our community (with appropriate permissions)
Track social analytics and optimize strategy based on engagement patterns
Facilitate social connections between community members in authentic ways
Support the growth of our beta communities through targeted social presence
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Work closely with partnerships team to showcase wellness brands and practitioners
authentically
Collaborate with design team to maintain consistent brand identity across channels and
events
Support the partnership team in creating meaningful integration of partners into events
Coordinate with product team to ensure cohesive messaging about platform features
What We're Looking For
3+ years experience managing social media for mid to large brands
Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated aesthetic and storytelling abilities
Experience balancing brand guidelines with authentic community engagement
Understanding of premium/luxury content approaches without being overly commercial
Proven track record of building engaged communities (not just followers)
Exceptional writing skills with ability to capture poetic, sacred qualities
Strong visual storytelling instincts
Experience with content planning and analytics tools
Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platform algorithms
Preferred Experience
Previous work with wellness, parenting, or community-focused brands
Experience with brands transitioning from early-stage to established presence
International perspective on community-building and wellness approaches
Background in curating intimate, meaningful gatherings for discerning audiences
Experience managing relationships with premium venues and service providers
