Role Overview

The Social Media Coordinator manages DMU's daily social media presence and supports its colleges with fast, high-quality content creation. The role requires strong Arabic and English content creation abilities, hands-on videography, video editing skills, and quick on-ground coverage of campus activities and events. The coordinator also supports the Senior Videographer when needed and helps maintain consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily posts, stories, reels, and engagement across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn Capture short-form videos, interviews, event highlights, and campus-life content Shoot and edit videos for reels, TikTok-style content, student spotlights, and event recaps Create, translate, and adapt Arabic and English captions and content Produce fast-turnaround edits for daily content needs Monitor social media trends and propose creative ideas to enhance reach and engagement Support the Senior Videographer with shoots, setups, interviews, and editing tasks Organize media assets, footage, and project files Respond to comments and DMs and escalate inquiries to relevant departments Provide on-site coverage for events across DMU and its colleges

Required Qualifications

Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field Hands-on experience creating content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts Strong videography skills using mobile or camera equipment Proficiency in video editing tools (mobile or desktop) Basic design skills using Canva or Adobe tools Ability to work quickly in fast-paced environments with daily deadlines Strong awareness of social media trends and best practices

Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month
