Job Description

Role Summary

As part of the Sustainability team you are responsible for defining and developing the strategies which underpin Landmark Group\xe2\x80\x99s Social objectives, implementing and reporting on social programmes and activities, and providing expertise and advice on the subject across the Group\xe2\x80\x99s brands and business functions.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develops effective social and community investment programmes across the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s stakeholders and focus areas (health & well-being, education & decent work and disaster relief)
  • Successfully leads and manages programme activities through the complete programme life cycle from requirements and planning to rollout and measurement. This includes: programme definition, project scheduling, budgeting and forecasting, resource planning, contracting, risk and issue management, impact measurement and reporting
  • Collaborates and supports brands and business functions to identify and deliver opportunities to achieve strategic objectives
  • Understanding and continuous alignment on industry-standard sustainability and community investment performance indicators to bring the organisation in line
  • Evangelises programmes and associated initiatives, internally and externally, to develop an awareness of and participation in the programmes.
  • Understanding of best-in-class industry standards and continuous alignment of key performance indicators to bring the organisation in line
  • Develops and manages key external relationships with strategic and relevant stakeholders across the public, private and social sectors (e.g. private sector organisations, social enterprises, educational institutions, forums & events, govt. entities and volunteering groups)
  • Ensures effective communication strategies and methods are in place to communicate business ethics, social targets and performance

Education and Experience
  • PG or other equivalent qualification in social sciences, anthropology community relations with 10+ years of experience, in managing social impact programs in a large multi country corporate preferably in the retail or consumer sector.
  • Track record of successful project delivery
  • Bi-lingual (English & Arabic) a plus
