One of our clients is looking to fill a 6 month project temp role, which could go permanent for the right candidate.

Suitable candidates must be super technical, and into the accounting detail.

Main duties:

Clean and audit-ready financials statements

• Trial Balance
• Statement of Financial Position
• Statement of Profit and Loss
• Balance Sheet reconciliation schedules

Responsibilities

• Entity level cleaning up, reconciliation and production of financial statements based on documented paper trial for every transaction
• Deep financial and analytical reviews of transactions for establishing areas of concern and bringing them to the attention of the management for consideration and decision making
• Create opening balance schedules and conduct analysis to establish reliance on the numbers and the under-lying break-up of the balances
• Review trade by trade and follow the trade route for reconciliation of open items in the books
• Identify and analyze transactions which have no supporting documents - validate the basis of the transactions and request commercial to obtain the documents and submit to finance
• Recompute pricing for trades based on indexes and validate the P&L where pricing of commodities is based on futures
• Reconcile all open AR items and establish the flow of cash from customers.
• Analyze all trade related cash movement and propose necessary adjustments for allocation to close balance sheet
• Identifying, analyzing and confirmation of the Inter-Company mismatches. Propose adjustments where no settlements were done or settlements were made to nominated parties (offset)
• Validate, quantify and reconcile all hedging transactions

Requirements

• Accounting qualification (CA or ACCA)
• University education in accounting, finance or business
• Minimum 10 years of practical accounting experience preferably at Group/Corporate level
• Consolidation and IFRS Experience
