OPERATIONAL WORK: To define and standardize production process of the SMS from technological point of view (charging, melting, temperature control, slag control, steel composition control, refining and alloying, mastering the casting parameters\xe2\x80\xa6.) Maintain safe and reliable SMS systems while improving production rates, uptime efficiencies, yields, cost, and changeovers. Suggest changes in the technology with aim for continuous improvement of productivity, quality and efficiency. To check and verify all the set-up parameters of the SMS (IF; LRF; CCM) are done according to the approved technology and suggests changes if necessary. Develop, review, and update technological instructions, procedures, proposals and process description. Understand product quality issues/defects and work with all departments to ensure the implementation of an appropriate technological counter measures. Provide training and development to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others. To create standards across all production from SMS to the RM in collaboration with the RM metallurgist/process engineer Follow up production/technological corrective actions to see and evaluate its impact on production. Supervise the operation of the SMS, which involves setting up and making adjustments to regulate and ensure the required input/output/quality / customer specifications/cost efficiency are met. Ensure all necessary documentation is updated. Write and issue the periodic and ad-hoc production quality related reporting. Analyze and monitor the technological issues and breakdowns, shortfalls and losses. Perform technological and operations analyses. Evaluate and improve safety, training, quality practices, and operational processes in SMS (IF, LRF, CCM). Familiar with and able to meet customer expectations for all finished products. Promote, mentor, and sustain quality standards and practices. Develop innovative solutions and best practices. Conduct equipment and process studies to support continuous improvement. Collect data to support continuous improvement analysis and process implementations. Manage major capital or other projects to ensure they are effectively and completed on time and on budget. Train and develop SMS operators as needed, to include periodic shift work and to meet training and business objectives. Education Minimum bachelor degree in Metallurgy, Knowledge Deep knowledge of SMS plant, production process and specific equipment. Deep knowledge of the metallurgical, chemical, and physical phenomenon\xe2\x80\x99s occurring during melting, preparing and casting the steel Experienced in IF and EAF, LRF and CCM process Proficient analytics tools user. Proficient in English (speaking and writing) Experience: Minimum 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in related field.
