Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement & Requirement Analysis

Meet clients to understand current operational pain points, business objectives, and warehouse performance expectations. Conduct detailed site assessments, data collection, workflow mapping, and operational analysis. Interpret customer needs and translate them into technical and functional solution requirements.
2. Smart Warehouse Solution Design

Develop end-to-end warehousing concepts incorporating the latest technologies, including: Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) Robotics (AMRs/AGVs) Conveyor & Sortation Systems IoT & Sensor-based solutions WMS/WCS/WES platforms Digital twins and simulation tools AI-driven inventory optimization Prepare comprehensive solution layouts, process flows, equipment specifications, and capacity calculations. Design warehouse solutions that improve efficiency, space utilization, safety, throughput, and operational accuracy.
3. Technical & Commercial Documentation

Develop detailed technical proposals, BOQs, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses. Create concept designs, CAD layouts, and solution blueprints for customer approvals. Provide technical inputs for RFP/RFQ responses and participate in solution presentations.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with OEMs, automation vendors, software providers, and internal engineering teams. Support procurement and vendor evaluation processes to ensure best-fit technology selection. Work with project teams to ensure smooth transition from design to deployment stages.
5. Industry & Market Expertise

Stay updated with global warehousing trends, emerging technologies, and industry benchmarks. Apply strong knowledge of the UAE warehousing and logistics sector--regulations, market expectations, and operational standards. Recommend scalable, future-ready solutions aligned with regional logistics strategies.

Prerequisites & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field). Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in warehousing design, supply chain consulting, or automation engineering. Proven track record in designing and implementing smart warehousing or automated storage solutions. Strong understanding of warehouse planning principles (layout design, MHE selection, process engineering). Hands-on experience with warehouse simulation/visualization tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, FlexSim, etc.). Familiarity with WMS/WCS/WES systems and their functional integration with physical automation. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Experience working in the UAE warehousing/logistics market is highly advantageous. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver within deadlines.
