Slaughterhouse Manager

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise all slaughterhouse operations, including slaughtering, cutting, deboning, and packing. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and animal welfare laws. Oversee and train staff to follow proper techniques, health, and safety protocols. Monitor production targets, quality control, and efficiency of processes. Coordinate with suppliers, veterinary inspectors, and government agencies to maintain compliance. Implement and enforce workplace health & safety procedures to prevent accidents. Manage inventory, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance. Prepare reports on production, staff performance, and operational improvements. Handle staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning. Control operational costs and optimize resource usage.
Requirements:
Proven experience in slaughterhouse/meat processing operations. Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations. Leadership and management skills with experience supervising large teams. Ability to handle pressure and make quick operational decisions. Physically fit and accustomed to working in demanding environments. Good communication and organizational skills. Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Meat Processing, or related field (preferred).
