Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Skating Coach to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing skating programs that foster skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport. You'll have the opportunity to work with skaters of all ages and skill levels to help them achieve their personal goals and reach new heights in their skating journey.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging skating coaching sessions tailored to the needs and abilities of individual skaters and groups. Evaluate skater performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills and confidence. Develop training plans that incorporate techniques focused on improving skating skills, including jumps, spins, and footwork. Organize and lead workshops, clinics, and competitions to promote skater development and team spirit. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages participation and growth. Communicate effectively with skaters, parents, and other coaching staff to ensure alignment on goals and expectations. Monitor and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all skaters during practice and events.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

Proven experience as a skating coach or instructor, with a strong track record of developing skaters. In-depth understanding of skating techniques and training methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with skaters and their families. Certifications relevant to skating coaching

Preferred:

Experience coaching competitive skaters at various levels. Background in sports science or related fields. Ability to analyze performance and provide data-driven feedback.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

Proficiency in using video analysis software to assess skater performance. Familiarity with training management platforms to track skater progress and development. Experience with online coaching tools and virtual training platforms.

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and motivation. Empathetic approach to coaching, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. Ability to adapt coaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of skaters. Passion for the sport of skating and a commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.
