Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated

Site Steel Engineer

to manage and supervise all on-site activities related to steel structures. The successful candidate will be pivotal in assisting Project Managers with the day-to-day operational functions, ensuring all fabrication and erection work meets stringent engineering specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines. This role demands strong technical expertise in steel fabrication, erection, and connection details, alongside excellent coordination skills with various site teams and design offices.

Key Responsibilities

The Site Steel Engineer will focus on supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely execution of all steel structure works, which includes:

Supervision & Execution:

Directly supervise the erection and installation of structural steel components on-site. Develop and implement safe and efficient erection sequences, detailed lifting plans, and method statements. Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, design engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely execution.

Quality & Compliance (QA/QC):

Review and interpret structural, fabrication drawings, and specifications. Conduct rigorous inspections and quality checks (e.g., fit-up, welding, dimensional accuracy). Ensure structural alignment and tolerances are strictly met (e.g., plumb, level, bolt torque). Monitor the quality of works against the contract specification and drawings, ensuring all

Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)

procedures are followed.

Safety & Reporting:

Enforce strict adherence to safety standards

and company policies on-site, including implementing and managing permit systems (e.g., lifting, working at height). Prepare comprehensive site reports, documentation, and progress updates. Identify and swiftly resolve technical issues encountered during steel installation.

Coordination & Administration:

Attend and contribute to site meetings, assisting the Project Manager with crucial information flow to the site. Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager.

Working Hours and Salary

Working Days:

Monday to Saturday

Working Hours:

7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary Range:

AED 7,000 to AED 10,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum

3 years

(Ideally 5+ years) of hands-on, direct experience in steel structure site works.

Technical Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection procedures, and material handling. Proven experience in methods of welding, steel connection work quality, and testing. Strong understanding of

UAE building codes

and local authority approval procedures is highly advantageous.

Skills:

Strong personality, excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
