We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially astute
Site Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Manager
to join our dynamic project team in Dubai. In this key role, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of a large-scale EPC project by managing commercial operations, safeguarding contractual rights, and driving claims and variations strategies.
You will work closely with project managers, site representatives, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure all commercial aspects are aligned with project objectives and contractual obligations.
Certifications & Experience:
Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying and commercial project management.
In-depth knowledge of EPC and construction contract terms, risk allocation, and subcontractor management.
Chartered status (RICS or CICES) is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation and commercial law understanding.
Experience in contract law, claim strategy, and variation management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead contract and commercial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and claim potentials.
Prepare, assess, and manage claims and variations in line with project goals and contract terms.
Draft and review contractual correspondence to ensure clear, timely communication.
Support package managers and site teams in managing contractual changes and negotiations.
Evaluate and follow up on project events affecting cost or schedule.
Conduct quantum and delay analyses to support cause-effect assessments for claims.
Provide expert guidance on contract law, change management, and dispute resolution.
Liaise closely with internal stakeholders across Planning, EHS, QA/QC, Procurement, and Logistics.
Ensure timely and accurate contractual notifications as per contract provisions.
Build strong working relationships with contractors and subcontractors to foster collaboration and clarity.
Contribute to the development of lessons learned and best practices related to contract management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, ideally within EPC or large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of contract terms and risk allocations in EPC environments.
Experience negotiating and managing subcontracts and supplier agreements.
Chartered status (RICS or CICES) is highly desirable.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Solid understanding of contract law and commercial best practices.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
