The ideal candidate will oversee quality assurance and control processes related to facade and aluminum installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. This role involves on-site inspections, documentation, coordination with stakeholders, and continuous improvement of QA/QC processes.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and enforce the QA/QC plan for all aluminum and facade works on site.
Conduct inspections on incoming materials, ongoing site activities, and completed installations for compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate and schedule inspections, approvals, and site visits with consultants, clients, and third-party agencies.
Prepare and maintain
Inspection Requests (IRs)
,
Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)
, and
Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
.
Review and validate shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for QA/QC conformity.
Ensure correct installation of facade elements including
curtain walls
,
ACP cladding
,
structural glazing
,
unitized systems
, and
louvers
.
Identify and document quality issues, propose corrective/preventive actions, and follow up on their resolution.
Maintain up-to-date QA/QC documentation including daily inspection reports and test records.
Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with
ISO standards
and project QA/QC protocols.
Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives across the project.
Assist in training and guiding site personnel on QA/QC procedures and quality requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
2 to 6 years
of direct QA/QC experience in aluminum and facade installation projects.
Solid technical knowledge of facade systems:
unitized systems
,
stick systems
,
ACP
,
curtain walls
,
glazing
, etc.
Proven ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and inspection authorities.
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, documentation, and reporting skills.
Familiarity with relevant quality standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, etc.) is a plus.
