A Steel Structure Site Foreman oversees all steel-related activities on a construction site, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. They lead a team of steel workers, coordinate with other trades, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities of a Steel Structure Site Foreman:

Supervision:

Oversee and manage a team of steel workers, ensuring they perform their tasks correctly and efficiently.

Coordination:

Coordinate steel work with other trades, subcontractors, and the project team.

Safety:

Enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Planning and Scheduling:

Plan and schedule steel installation activities, ensuring timely completion of the project.

Quality Control:

Ensure that steel fabrication and erection are in accordance with approved drawings and safety/quality standards.

Material Management:

Order, manage, and track steel materials and supplies.

Budget Management:

Monitor project costs and ensure that steel work is completed within budget.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

Years of experience in the Steel construction industry.

Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of steel construction methods, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.

Leadership:

Ability to lead and motivate a team of steel workers.

Communication:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other trades and subcontractors.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve problems that may arise during steel installation.
