Site Engineer
Minimum Experience: 3 years
:
The Site Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day technical oversight of specific work areas on the construction site. They work under the direction of a Construction Manager or Superintendent, translating design drawings into physical reality. They provide technical guidance to foremen and crews, ensure work conforms to specifications, and resolve any immediate technical problems.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical engineering support to the construction team to resolve field issues.
• Set out the work according to drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate alignment and levels.
• Check materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Prepare daily site reports, including manpower, equipment, and progress updates.
• Liaise with surveyors to verify setting out and dimensional control.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor the work of subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and with the HSE team for safety compliance.
• Measure and record quantities of work done for progress payment applications.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a site-based engineering role.
• Practical knowledge of construction techniques and surveying methods.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments (total station, level) and AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
