We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Site Engineer SCN (Structured Cabling Network)
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber optic installation, testing, and maintenance, with proven experience in the GCC region. Candidates with relevant certifications and a valid Qatar driving license will be given preference.Key Responsibilities:
Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode). Perform OTDR testing, power meter testing, and visual fault locating. Interpret fiber optic schematics, network layouts, and installation blueprints. Maintain and troubleshoot fiber optic networks and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. Document installation and maintenance activities accurately. Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely delivery of services.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics & Communication) OR 3-Year Diploma in Electronics & Communication EngineeringExperience:
Minimum3 years of relevant experience
in theGCC region
in fiber optic installation and maintenance.Certifications (Mandatory):
BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber (INSTF)
Training certifications fromCorning
,Nexans
,CommScope
, orPanduit
Other Requirements:
Valid Qatar Driving License
(preferred) Strong understanding of fiber optic standards and best practices Ability to work independently and in a team environment Good communication and documentation skillsPreferred Skills:
Familiarity with structured cabling systems and data center environments Experience with fiber optic tools and equipment
