Job Description

Job Summary:
The Site Engineer - HVAC is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems at construction sites. They ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines while coordinating with contractors, clients, and other engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Supervision:

• Review HVAC design drawings, specifications, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
• Supervise and monitor the installation of HVAC systems (ductwork, chillers, AHUs, VRF systems, etc.).
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved methods, schedules, and quality standards.

2. Technical Execution:

• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC installations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other MEP teams.

3. Quality & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all HVAC works adhere to local regulations, codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.), and safety protocols.
• Conduct quality checks and tests (pressure tests, airflow measurements, etc.).
• Maintain proper documentation (daily reports, inspection records, as-built drawings).

4. Coordination & Communication:

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers for approvals and updates.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress reports.
• Manage material procurement and inventory tracking.

5. Testing & Commissioning:

• Oversee system testing, balancing, and commissioning.
• Ensure proper handover of HVAC systems with operation manuals and warranties.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in HVAC installation/site supervision (construction/MEP projects).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems (chilled water, DX, VRF, ventilation).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Certifications: PMP, ASHRAE, or HVAC-specific certifications (preferred).

Work Conditions:

• Site-based role with occasional office work.
• May require overtime or weekend work to meet deadlines.
