Job Description

The Site Engineer will manage on-site waterproofing operations--ensuring method statements are followed, quality standards are met, and project milestones achieved. Acting as the main technical authority on site, the engineer supports safe, timely, and budget?compliant delivery of waterproofing works.

Key Responsibilities

Method Statement & QA Oversight

Draft, obtain approval, and supervise implementation of waterproofing method statements--per guidelines like substrate prep, membrane installation, and protection layers. Implementation includes on-site training, daily toolbox talks, and document control.

Site Layout & Setting?Out

Execute level setting, align layout with IFC drawings and shop drawings, mark waterproof levels, and coordinate termination details.

Execution & Technical Supervision

Supervise application of selected waterproofing systems (e.g., torch?on, PVC, HDPE, liquid coatings), water bar installation, sealants, drainage boards, and primer. Ensure compliance with manufacturer instructions and project specification.

Quality, Inspection & Reporting

Review & follow Inspection Test Plans (ITP), raise RFIs, log non?conformances (NCRs), and coordinate follow-ups. Maintain daily reports, material submittals, inspection records, and test certificates.

Coordination & Stakeholder Interface

Work closely with QA/QC engineers, foremen, client representatives, testing labs, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics and approvals.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

Enforce project EHS requirements--including safe use of torch equipment, personal protective equipment, barricading hazards, and toolbox meetings.

Progress Management & Handover

Monitor progress, flag potential delays, track material consumption, and assist in forming as-built documentation for client handover.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree

: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience

: 3-5 years on-site civil project experience

focusing on waterproofing systems

, preferable in GCC/New build environment.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with waterproofing systems: torch?applied membranes, HDPE/PVC/HCR sheets, liquid coatings, water bars, and drainage systems. AutoCAD for marking elevations, setting-out and verifying drawings. Microsoft Office and/or field tools for reporting and scheduling. Working knowledge of construction quality control, testing standards (ASTM, BS, ISO). With Valid Qatar Driving Lisence With Valid Qatar ID and NOC Can join immediately.
