Site Engineer
Reports To: Senior Site Engineer / Project Manager
Summary: The Site Engineer is the technical authority on site, responsible for translating design drawings into physical structures. They oversee specific work sections, ensuring construction meets all technical specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:

• Study project drawings, specifications, and BOQ to plan and sequence construction activities.
• Set out the works using surveying equipment, establishing reference points, levels, and benchmarks.
• Provide daily work instructions and method statements to foremen and supervisors.
• Check materials delivered to site for compliance with specifications.
• Monitor work progress, quality of workmanship, and resolve technical issues on site.
• Liaise with the design team (consultants) to request information (RFIs) and clarify discrepancies.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, including manpower and equipment allocation.
• Supervise quality control tests (concrete slump, cube casting, etc.) and ensure proper sampling.
• Measure work done for interim payment applications (interim valuations).
• Ensure as-built drawings are marked up and maintained.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in building or infrastructure construction.
• Proficiency in surveying instruments (Total Station, Auto Level, GPS) and construction software (AutoCAD, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and structural principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
