Site Engineer
Location: Project Sites
Reporting to: Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer
Position Overview
The Site Engineer is the technical authority on the construction site. This role is responsible for laying out the work, surveying, setting levels, and ensuring that all construction activities conform to the technical designs and specifications. They work hand-in-hand with the Site Supervisor to translate drawings into built reality.
Key Responsibilities

• Setting Out: Accurately set out the works according to the architectural and structural drawings, using surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, Laser Level).
• Technical Supervision: Oversee the technical aspects of construction, checking that all work is performed to the correct lines, levels, and dimensions.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Problem Solving: Resolve any technical issues that arise on site, liaising with the Project Engineer and design consultants as necessary.
• Progress Monitoring: Measure and record progress for interim valuations and reports.
• Health & Safety: Ensure that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company health and safety policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in interior fit-out or building construction.
• Proficiency in setting out and surveying techniques.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
