Job Description

Job Purpose

The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating all site activities related to potable water connections, house connections, stormwater networks, sewerage systems, and pipeline works. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, local authority requirements, safety standards, and quality guidelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution

Supervise day-to-day site works for potable water, sewerage, stormwater, and pipeline projects. Ensure installation of pipelines, manholes, chambers, and house connections as per drawings and technical specifications. Review shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) before execution. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and labor to ensure timely completion of works.

2. Site Supervision & Quality Control

Monitor and ensure correct trenching, pipe laying, jointing, backfilling, and compaction works. Conduct inspections for house connections, sewer networks, stormwater drainage, and potable water systems. Ensure all works comply with relevant codes, standards, and authority (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, ADM, etc.) requirements. Maintain daily site reports, progress records, and quality documentation.

3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Enforce site safety regulations and ensure compliance with company and statutory HSE policies. Monitor safe working practices during excavation, confined space entry, lifting, and pipe installation activities. Report and mitigate any safety hazards immediately.

4. Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and government authorities for inspections and approvals. Attend progress meetings and provide updates on site activities. Liaise with surveyors for alignment, levels, and setting out of works.

5. Testing & Commissioning

Supervise pressure testing, leakage tests, and CCTV inspections of pipelines. Ensure flushing, disinfection, and commissioning of potable water pipelines as per authority requirements. Verify completion of snag works before handover.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (preferred). Minimum

3-6 years

of experience in water, sewerage, stormwater, and pipeline projects in the UAE/GCC. Strong knowledge of local authority regulations (DM, DEWA, ADDC, ADSSC, etc.). Experience in site supervision, QA/QC procedures, and HSE compliance. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project documentation.

Strong technical knowledge of pipeline construction and utility works. Good leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and reporting abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Timely completion of assigned sections as per project schedule. Compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority standards. Zero safety violations and incidents. Accurate and timely reporting of site activities. Successful inspection and approval by relevant authorities.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
