We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer - Civil to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing on-site civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), local regulations, and project specifications. The role requires coordination with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure timely and quality delivery of work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Studies and interprets all technical drawings, documents, and revisions applicable to the project.
Manages and supervises daily on-site activities ensuring compliance with construction plans and timelines.
Acts as the primary technical adviser on site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
Ensures execution of work is as per the latest approved drawings and instructions from authorized personnel.
Coordinates with surveyors for accurate leveling, layout, and setting out of project elements.
Manages site operations including labor force supervision and subcontractor performance monitoring.
Relays instructions received from authorized representatives to senior management for contractual review and approval.
Works closely with QA/QC Engineers for inspections, testing, and client submissions.
Conducts routine site inspections to monitor progress, compliance, and safety.
Analyzes and resolves site-related technical problems promptly.
Oversees material requisitions, quantity take-offs, and ensures materials are in accordance with site needs.
Prepares and submits daily site reports, progress updates, and other necessary documentation.
Reports regularly to the Construction Manager and company management regarding progress and challenges.
Performs any additional roles or tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum of 10 years proven experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
UPDA License preferred (if applicable by region).
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other construction-related software.
Capable of critical thinking and sound decision-making under pressure.
