Job Summary

The Site Engineer - Civil Works will be responsible for supervising and executing on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out in compliance with design specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, laborers, and the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily site operations, ensuring construction work is progressing as per approved plans and timelines. Interpret and implement technical drawings, structural designs, and project specifications. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and labor force on-site. Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, material usage logs, and site records. Conduct inspections and quality checks on work performed. Assist in resolving technical issues or on-site problems promptly. Communicate regularly with the project manager and other stakeholders. Verify that materials and work meet approved engineering standards and specifications. Monitor and control the use of resources to avoid wastage.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (required). 5 years of relevant on-site civil construction experience. Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction management software (preferred). Good leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks on-site.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure (e.g., roads, bridges, drainage) civil works. Familiarity with local construction regulations and codes.
