Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with internal and external teams including Architecture, Structural Engineering, MEP Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Fire and Life Safety, Facade Access, Project Management etc. Use AutoCAD and Revit to communicate intent and prepare facade design documentation. Provide detailed engineering calculations and facade structural analysis, advice and reporting. Prepare design and engineering reports for design and construction stages. Liaise with manufacturers and system suppliers to better understand capabilities and limitations of their products. Provide practical advice to clients on build-ability and facade construction processes. Coordinate with Main Contractors and their specialist subcontractors. Review and advise on technical submittals from contractors. Undertake site visits during construction to ensure works are being erected in accordance with the approved design and specification; thereafter writing reports to summarize observations and findings. Undertake facade surveys, report on findings and make proposals for remediation where vital. Provide facade advisory role for facade refurbishment works. Handle routine contract administration for office and project procedures. Manage and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications Skills & Expertise:

Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering from a reputed University. Minimum 4 years' experience in Facade Engineering, preferably with a mix of consultancy and contracting experience. Experience working in the UAE is essential. Experience working in the office and on site. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit Proficient in facade & structural finite element software, e.g. Strand 7, STAAD Sound knowledge in facade systems and design and relevant codes and standards. Experience in forming strong and collaborative relationships with team members across different regions and focus areas. Ability to hand sketch and present ideas during meetings and presentations. Meticulous attention to detail with ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Exceptional written English and technical report writing
