We are seeking an experienced

Shutdown Planner

with a strong background in

scaffolding or painting activities

within the

oil & gas industry

. The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring scaffolding and painting work during plant shutdowns/turnarounds, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed shutdown plans and work packs for scaffolding and painting scope. Prepare and review job cards, method statements, and JSA/risk assessments. Identify scaffolding requirements (volume, access type, materials) and coordinate inspections. Plan painting activities including surface preparation, blasting, and coating application. Ensure proper sequencing of scaffolding erection, painting, and dismantling within shutdown timelines. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material resources to meet project targets. Liaise with operations, maintenance, and HSE teams to align execution. Track progress daily (scaffold m, painted m) and report deviations or delays. Ensure compliance with company and international standards (safety, quality, environment). Maintain accurate records of scaffolding registers, painting QA/QC reports, and close-out documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.

Minimum 5-7 years' experience

in oil & gas shutdown/turnaround planning, specifically in

scaffolding and painting/coating works

. Familiar with CMMS/Planning tools (SAP, Primavera P6, or MS Project). Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems (tube & fitting, modular) and coating specifications (NACE/SSPC). Certification in

scaffolding inspection

and/or

painting/coating inspection (NACE, BGAS, SSPC)

preferred. Solid understanding of HSE practices in shutdown/turnaround environments.
