About the role: You will assist the Territory Manager in managing the Port Services Operations for Oman, driving consistent revenue and margin growth with effective service quality and managing resources and processes related to the agency services provided by Wilhelmsen Port Services (WPS) within designated ports. You will report to the Wilhelmsen Port Services Territory Manager - UAE, Oman, Qatar & Sub Agency

Main responsibilities

Overall responsible for the country port operations and P/L

Ensure that Port Services performance and service quality is according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and within the defined KPI's including EBIT deliverables.

Ensure profitable port operations by increasing revenue, whilst driving efficiencies to control costs.

Actively identify new business and sales opportunities in the territory/country and work with Port Services sales to promote local ports towards customers.

Ensure correct amount of pre-funding is received, or the correct level of authority has approved any deviation, prior to performing the port call, in line with the Chart of Authority. Same to be ensured when additional funding required prior vessel's sailing.

Responsible for supporting and ultimately driving the collection of spot port call receivables.

Pro-actively identify new means of achieving cost savings, including vendor discounts on behalf of the principal.

Selecting, appointing, and evaluating vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with WPS procurement governance.

Ensure procedures relevant to Disbursement Accounts production are implemented and optimised.

Ensure efficient and competent resources are appointed at port location(s) and changes are made to team wherever relevant in close consultation with TM to meet desired performance deliverables.

Ensure onboarding and regular training is conducted for all employees.

Overall Port Services QHSSE & ESG compliance within assigned Territory and use of Take 5 as appropriate.

Post departure analyze the port call and communicate to the customer the provided added value.

Oversee ML Operations and drive synergies

Accountabilities This position will be measured against:

YOY EBIT growth/country

AR > credit time country/territory.

Who are we looking for? Candidates should ideally have below mandatory requirements

University degree (Bachelors) or alternatively significant work experiences within Middle East with diploma compensating for formal education.

Excellent communication skills

Min. 5+ years' experience in Port Agency Operations within GCC/Middle East as team manager or head/supervisor for port agency operation team members.

Self-motivated and result orientated with good cost awareness and business risk control.

Strong commercial, conflict resolution and customer relationship skills.

Familiar with Local Port Authority regulations, procedures, and governing tariffs.

Ability to multitask and structurally organise under pressure without compromising safety of personnel and vessel.

Valid GCC driving license. Additional preferences

Multilingual skills- Arabic language working proficiency is preferred.

Oman port operations hands-on experience of atleast 2+ years.

Analytics, Finance & Accounting exposure.
