Our reputed worldwide client in shipping is looking for Liner Operations in Dubai The work involves supporting the pre-arrival coordination with vessels and vendors as well as post-departure reporting activities i.e. acquiring data from other sources (port/terminal systems, vessel Master, terminal planner, loading Master etc) to create reports throughout the port call on regular basis and ensuring that databases remain error-free and accurate. The role will be involved in port call planning activities such as and not limited to sending arrival notice, advising vessels on port information, working with Master to determine vessel program, creating proforma, liaising with vendor on services delivery, and requesting/following up on prefunding.
For the post departure reporting activities, the role shall enter critical operational information into databases/systems accurately.
Ensure consistency, security, and accessibility of operations data and information.
Coordinating with other business partners like terminal, reports audience (customers) and vessels to seek operational information.
Reach out to overseas ports/terminals representatives and retrieve data from individual ports/terminals' systems to complete reports.
In the next stage of implementation, the team will also be required to take on additional responsibilities outside reporting function to support Liner Operations in Asia Pacific i.e. managing vessel service coordination with vendors, operation coordination with vessels, shipping documentations covering countries' liner operation across region Job Requirements: Candidates must possess at least a Degree in any field.
Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word
English fluency in both verbal and written communications is a must.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers.
Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results.
Communication skills to engage terminal representatives, principal and/or vessels.
Must be professional in conduct and practice, and also reliable as each report are time critical.
Creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic environment
One to three years of demonstrable experience as a reporting analyst.
