A reputed ship survey and marine consultancy company based in the UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

B Sc / Mech Eng Diploma, preferably attested by the UAE MOFA (NEBOSH & UAE driving license are added assets) Knowledgeable in hazards that are presented by inflammable / poisonous gases like Carbon monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide and Hydrocarbons. Clear understanding of Upper and Lower Explosive limits of an air sample. Proficient in the use of a gas meter to measure Oxygen levels in a compartment. So also, the percentage LEL and presence of CO and H2S. Be able to assess and identify risks before issuing a permit for welding and gas cutting.

EXPERIENCE: He should have worked for a ship repair / ship managing company as a safety officer with exposure to identifying fire hazards Adept at using gas meters for measurement of CO, H2S and LEL %age in an enclosed space WORKING HOURS: Monday to Saturday 0800 to 1800 with one hour lunch break. Any work outside these hours will be compensated for by rest time the following day. RENUMERATION: UAE DIRHAMS 4000, accommodation and transport will be provided by the company As per UAE labor law, 30 days leave every 12 months worked, with return air fare to home country every two years.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
