Job Description
JOB TITLE: Ship surveyor / Chemist
B Sc / Mech Eng Diploma, preferably attested by the UAE MOFA (NEBOSH & UAE driving license are added assets) Knowledgeable in hazards that are presented by inflammable / poisonous gases like Carbon monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide and Hydrocarbons. Clear understanding of Upper and Lower Explosive limits of an air sample. Proficient in the use of a gas meter to measure Oxygen levels in a compartment. So also, the percentage LEL and presence of CO and H2S. Be able to assess and identify risks before issuing a permit for welding and gas cutting.
EXPERIENCE: He should have worked for a ship repair / ship managing company as a safety officer with exposure to identifying fire hazards Adept at using gas meters for measurement of CO, H2S and LEL %age in an enclosed space

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
