Job Title: Ship Chandler Business Development Executive

We are looking for Ship Chandler Business Development Executive who can join our team in Dubai. Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities within the maritime supply sector. This role focuses on expanding relationships with ship owners, ship managers, port agents, and procurement teams to drive revenue growth and strengthen the company's position as a preferred marine supplies provider. The executive works closely with operations, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with shipping companies, ship management firms, and port agents.
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline within key ports and maritime hubs.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings.
Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, quotations, and supply agreements.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with clients.
Client Relationship Management
Build strong, long-term relationships with fleet procurement teams, technical departments, and captains.
Manage key accounts to ensure recurring business and customer loyalty.
Address customer inquiries related to provisions, bonded stores, deck/engine supplies, and other marine goods.
Conduct regular client meetings, port visits, and onboard vessel visits when required.
Coordination & Operations Support
Work with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely supply, delivery accuracy, and quality standards.
Communicate vessel schedules, delivery windows, and supply requirements to internal teams.
Assist in resolving operational challenges to ensure a smooth supply process.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare sales forecasts, weekly business reports, and performance analyses.
Maintain CRM records, price lists, contractual documents, and client databases.
Contribute to budgeting, planning, and revenue target-setting.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, or relevant field (preferred).
2-5 years of experience in ship chandling, maritime supply, or B2B sales (required/preferred depending on seniority).
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong understanding of marine provisions, deck/engine stores, and bonded goods.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to read vessel schedules, port rotation, and basic maritime documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and quotation tools.
Personal Attributes

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight vessel deadlines.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally for client and port visits.
