JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To perform the maintenance activities of Steel Melting Plant in order to achieve the assigned targets such as minimize plant down time and increase the plant availability & consumption of spares with cost c JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To perform the maintenance activities of Steel Melting Plant in order to achieve the assigned targets such as minimize plant down time and increase the plant availability & consumption of spares with cost consciousness 2. To execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipments in order to optimize production & minimize plant down time for maintenance related development works 3. Assist the Shift Group for trouble shooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipments and to help find out the root cause for corrective action maintenance related development works. 4. Assist the Shift Group for attending mechanical maintenance problems during breakdowns in the Steel Plant. To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the plant in order to plan & rectify the same. 5. Inspection of equipments to meet engineering principles and safety regulations in maintenance related development works. 6. To assist and help the Superiors in Mechanical Maintenance (SM Plant) in all technical areas to ensure smooth maintenance of the Steel Plant for uninterrupted production and co-ordination with other departments. 7. Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all equipment in the SM Plant. 8. To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures applicable to maintenance related development. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. I.T.I. in Mechanical Fitter trade 2. 3-5 years experience in Mechanical maintenance of Steel Plant as a Technician / Fitter
