Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Shift In-Charge is responsible for overseeing all operations during the assigned shift. This includes managing the workforce, ensuring safety compliance, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and reporting performance to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily shift operations.
Allocate tasks and monitor performance of line workers/operators.
Ensure timely production and adherence to quality standards.
Maintain proper shift handovers and documentation.
Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure smooth functioning.
Handle minor troubleshooting and escalate major issues.
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
Prepare and submit shift reports to management.
Maintain discipline and resolve conflicts within the team.
Train and support new workers or helpers during the shift.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / ITI / Diploma in Engineering or relevant field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a factory, warehouse, or industrial setting.
Knowledge of shift operations and production processes.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, shift reporting tools).
